Basic x Tall Boots

Friday, January 20, 2017

We are keeping the basic series going this week with a winter favorite, Tall Boots!

WHY YOU NEED IT
Tall Boots are a MUST, especially this time of year. One of those pieces for your wardrobe that doubles in practicality + style. When purchasing your pair, stick with a neutral color. That way your pair are guaranteed to mix and match effortlessly with the rest of your pieces.

WHERE TO FIND IT
I have been LIVING in this two tone pair for at least two years thanks to Target {similar here}! I still get so many compliments on them + they are just now starting to look broken in. I have linked a few options from Forever 21 {HERE}, JCPenney {SIMILAR HERE, on sale}, + Old Navy {HERE}. Don't forget about your mini! BQ's neutral pair of tall boots show below are from Old Navy {HERE, on sale}.

HOW TO STYLE IT
Since a pair of tall boots are such a style staple, a neutral pair will bring your closet together, creating cohesive looks.

Dress or Skirt
Style your tall boots with a dress or skirt. Make sure whatever you choose is knee length so you can still show off your boots.
Bonus Style Tip - put an oversized sweater OVER a dress for a faux skirt + top combo.

Blazer + Black Pant
Who says tall boots can't be all business?! For a professional look, pair your boots with a blazer + black pant.

Printed Blouse + Skinny Jean
Keep things casual with a printed blouse + your favorite pair of skinny jeans!
