"Get it right, get it right, get it tight!" - Bubba Sparxx

We are six months into 2018 + I'm sure sticking to a fitness routine was one of your goals at the beginning of the year. Initially, that was not one of mine, but here we are in June + my body instantly feels when I miss a workout. I blogged about the start of my 2018 fitness journey {here} + while I am happy with this lifestyle change, there have definitely been times that I've fallen off the wagon. Today, I am sharing three tips that I use to motivate myself to workout + the what the #PowerofShe means to me - thanks to my friends at Athleta.

Schedule It
If you've been keeping up with C U R R E N T L Y Kherington since day one, then you already know I am a MAJOR planner. I often plan out my content + day to day life on a quarterly, monthly, + weekly basis. Every Sunday I'm curled up on the couch with my planner reviewing what needs to be done between #momlife, #bloglife, + self care. Of course, workouts go on the schedule too, because if I don't plan a sweat sesh, it won't get done. Scheduling your workout plan is a great way to hold yourself accountable, while making sure you set aside the time to get it done {even if that means a barre class at 5:45am when you're NOT a morning person.} Figure out what times of the day you are less likely to fill with something else or are most motivated + schedule your workouts then.

Find What Works Best For You
Nothing is worse than working out a) when you don't want to + b) when you're doing a fitness routine that you hate! My main #goals for working out are to get my body moving on a regular basis, increase my water intake, and tone what I naturally got from my mama. Barre fitness is my JAM {legit the workout I was always searching for} + was in heavy rotation from January - May! Since Michigan weather has been G O R G E O U S {+ this is our s h o r t e s t season of the year} I have recently taken my workouts outdoors. I pack BQ up in her stroller + walk/run around a local neighborhood with an inland lake. It gets my heart pumping, I'm guzzling H2O, + we both get the fresh air we naturally crave. When you find a workout that you genuinely enjoy, it's easy to motivate yourself to get goin'.

Stylish Workout Gear
There's something about a stylish workout look that gets my entire life together. I'm instantly motivated to work on my fitness + it's a major confidence booster. Hey, when you look good you feel good {+ vice versa}, right?! That's why I L O V E  this look courtesy of Athleta. I like my workout look to mimic my everyday style so that means P R I N T, P R I N T, P R I N T! I immediately fell in love with these palm print leggings. They are A M A Z I N G quality, ridiculously comfortable, + the pocket for my phone is so clutch. {I definitely have a curated Spotify playlist on my phone - a bonus workout motivator!} The striped racerback tank is also via Athleta + super lightweight, which is ideal for any sweat sesh! Plus, the blush tone is on trend + keeps my overall look feminine.

I didn't realize how much committing to a fitness journey would level up my confidence game. You know I'm all about any opportunity to become my best self. I have learned that sometimes I gotta get comfortable being uncomfortable to tap into my true potential. I have learned that when I fall out of the fitness game it's okay to restart. I have also learned that sometimes I gotta throw on some cute, comfy, high quality workout gear from Athleta for a little E X T R A motivation. When strength meets style, that's not only a winning combo, that's the #PowerofShe.

Share your personal fitness motivation tips with me in the comments, along with if you shop your workout gear at Athleta! Thanks again to Athleta for collaborating with me via this post + reminding me to schedule this week's workout plan.
