Welcome back to CURRENTLY Styling!

I don't know about where you live, but here in Michigan fall has been in full effect literally o v e r n i g h t ! If you know anything about me it's that I like to hold on to summer as long as I can. Today, I am sharing FOUR new looks spotlighting summer trends to style while the season shifts. This is Summer in September!

*Outfit Details || Cardigan x Forever 21 | Floral Print Dress x Who What Wear Collection via Target |
Gingham Skirt x SheIn | Ankle Boots x Uptown Grandville {Thrifted}

I used to associate gingham print with spring, but 2017 fashion made gingham happen all summer long! I figured why not take it with me for fall! You probably remember this skirt from #TheKQ30 series in June. This time around, I ditched the straw hat + halter top + decided to mix prints + do a little layering. I also feel like blue is an unexpected color for fall, so anchoring my look with neutral ankle boots keeps everything balanced.

*Outfit Details || Baseball Cap {Similar Here} + Oversized Denim Jacket + Leopard Loafers {Kids} x TJMaxx | Plaid Shirt x Old Navy | White Pant x Goodwill {Thrifted}

Whoever made the 'no white after labor day rule' apparently wasn't doing it right! I love to style white, especially a jean or pant, when fall rolls around. It adds a fresh element to all of the warm tones we naturally gravitate toward. I styled my white pant for spring {here + here}, but I recently scored this pair at Goodwill! I tend to wear a more casual style when the weather shifts, so I styled my white pant with a nude baseball cap, classic buffalo print top, + denim jacket. + I since I love print play, I added my favorite leopard loafers {they're kids size}.

*Elliott Hat x Cloth + Cabin | Striped Tee x Old Navy | Overalls c/o Marie La Mode {Sold Out, Similar Here} |
Block Heels x Target

I'm pretty sure I have already talked about the bipolar weather that is #puremichigan. The block heel sandal is perfect for those days when the weather can't make up it's mind. I L I V E D in this pair all summer long + they are SO comfortable. I would normally style them with a shirtdress or shorts for summer. When I started to think about fall, I knew they would pair perfectly with my OVERALLS courtesy of Marie La Mode

*Outfit Details || {Faux} Leather Jacket x Zara {Similar Here} | Mesh Bodysuit x SheIn
{Faux} Leather Leggings x H&MAnkle Boots x Target

I'm pretty sure you know the 90's are back + if not...the 90's are back! It definitely wasn't a surprise that the bodysuit made the cut! I'm not gonna lie, at first I wasn't all aboard the bodysuit train, but after giving it a try, I am now the conductor! I also styled this mesh bodysuit for my #TheKQ30 series + have worn that look recently to a wedding. Something about fall brings out edgier vibes to my looks + opting for a {faux} leather jacket + leggings was a no brainer.

I hope I was able to give you a little seasonal shift style inspo! Which look is your favorite from Summer in September? What summer trends are you styling for fall? Sound off in the comments, I'd love to know what you are thinking style wise!

  1. I love your fashion choices. That gingham skirt is very cute and you tied everything together to make it look more Fall like. We are having Bipolar weather in New Jersey also.

    1. Thank you so much! That look was actually a last minute addition and one of my favorites! Our weather in Michigan has been in the 80s this week.
