We don't always twin, but when we do, it's in Iconoclasp.

It's been a minute, but I am finally back at it on CURRENTLY Kherington! While Iconoclasp making an appearance on the blog isn't new {here + here}, it is the first time that BQ + I are BOTH rockin' custom made pieces. Today is all about how to coordinate mommy and me looks with a little help from one of my favorite local brands.

An effortless way to coordinate your mommy and me look is via color. Whether that is styling the same shade or complimenting hues. This Iconoclasp sweatshirt is one of the rare occasions that BQ + I are styled in the same color, but since our tops are different silhouettes it allows our looks to stand out individually.

Another mommy and me style tip is wearing similar trends different ways. For example, BQ's sweatshirt is oversized, while mine has a cropped fit with bell sleeves. If there is a style trend you are loving right now, find ways to incorporate it into your looks. For a mom + daughter duo, that may be your mini in a skirt version of your favorite dress. Or if you are a mother + son pair, you could step out in a denim skirt while your mini styles denim overalls.

This tip creates interest while showcasing individuality. Even though your mini is called your mini for a reason, they aren't your clone. They will eventually be their own person, or maybe you see that already in their personality. Their look should be just that...their own. Let your creativity + personalities shine with print mixing {you know this is my jam}. + remember, stripes always play well with others!
