"One of the best decisions I made for my business was rebranding to CURRENTLY Kherington. That's when everything started clicking into place." -Me

You got this!
Just keep going.
Stop comparing yourself, you've only been in the game for 5 minutes.
The minute you feel like you're going to quit, a b r e a k t h r o u g h will happen.
Thank you!

These are things I say to my clients ALL the time, but while I've been reflecting on my past year, I've realized these are things I've been saying to myself all along. I still can't believe it was only 3 6 5 d a y s ago that I took the risk + relaunched my brand. I can honestly say this past year has been MAJOR for my g r o w t h personally + business wise. Today, I'm sharing how my first year has been since rebranding and what's next for C U R R E N T L Y Kherington.

The Rebrand
I said it once + I'll say it again, rebranding was the best decision I made for my business. That is honestly when everything started to click into place. Anyone who has rebranded or made changes within their blog or business knows how much hard work goes into it behind the scenes. With that hard work also comes doubt and wonder, especially since you will be entering a new phase that you haven't experienced. I'm happy I pushed past the "well what if people don't like it", "is saying C U R R E N T L Y all the time going to get annoying", "is it even going to be worth it in the end?" NEWSFLASH - THAT'S ALL A BUNCH OF NOISE + NOISE CAN BE TUNED OUT! Once I decided to fully commit to the rebrand, I also decided to be ALL IN no matter what came my way!

The Past Year
Before I share how my past year has been there is one thing I need you to know...
I'm sure you already knew that, but it's so true when you really think about it. While one of my main goals for C U R R E N T L Y Kherington is to be as transparent as possible, it's natural to share more of the HIGHS than the LOWS.

Believe me, I have had some a m a z i n g blogging + business experiences this past year...
-building relationships locally by connecting with businesses and influencers via coffee dates, collaborations, events, + photoshoots
-long term collaborations/partnerships
-consulting virtually and in person with amazing new influencers
-booking my first 4 figure client via social media management
-securing my first sponsored travel collaboration

There were also times that were harder than others...
-that time I wanted to quit in December
-when my contract ended with one of my first long term collaborations and they decided not to continue the relationship
-the frustration of not booking clients right away or losing clients after a short period of time
-brand/business collaborations that turned out to be a disappointment
-times when I felt uninspired
-not being able to do ALL OF THE THINGS I planned to in the first place

What I Have Learned
There have been SO MANY lessons I have learned since rebranding, one of them being for every amazing moment there will be setbacks.
-I've learned how it feels to get too much inside of my head + how the comparison game is THE WORST for business + growth.
-I've learned that amazing things always happen when you ditch competition for collaboration.
-I've learned how to perfect my pitch and that I have to create + position myself for the opportunities that I want.
-I've learned that it's better to take the break.
-I've learned that you have to let things go that are stunting your success in order to grow + level up.
-I've learned the art of saying "no" to opportunities that don't make sense for my brand vision.
-I've learned that as much as I love to educate others, I have to make sure I'm working just as hard to continue educating myself and perfecting my craft.
-I've learned you don't need a bajillion followers to work with brands if your content is always on point.

What's Next for C U R R E N T L Y Kherington
I thought I knew what was next when I rebranded one year ago + while I was able to stay true to my "why" behind the decision along the way, I had no idea what was ahead of me. I'd love to be able to make a list + check off every single thing, but that's not always realistic. With that being said I will share some things I've been thinking about doing within the next year. I will continue to keep up the t r a n s p a r e n c y on the 'gram + on the blog. I also plan to keep perfecting my consulting services + make the experience easy for my C U R R E N T + future clients. I would love to find ways to incorporate more video into my content. {I play around with boomerangs + stop motion from time to time, but I'd love to level up with more Insta Stories + IG TV on my radar.} I think this is the year I may FINALLY make the decision to work with Jereshia Hawk when it comes to my business {she's helped me so much so far}! I would love to attend a blogging conference like Create Cultivate {they're in Chicago this month, but it's my anniversary weekend!} I would also LOVE to FINALLY host an event or speak on a panel. This is something that has always been on my heart + I think this year is the right time.

I definitely couldn't finish this blog post without thanking YOU! The life of an influencer + entrepreneur is a r o l l e r c o a s t e r ! Your support means so much to me - whether that's a like, asking for advice via DMs, commenting "YASSS GIRL" on my posts, photographers that have been behind the lens of my content, booking me to assist you via my consulting services + leaving a review on my Facebook page, listening to me vent during co-working sessions, or seeing my worth + collaborating with me via sponsored content - it's all 100% appreciated...always!

I would love for you to share some way you have grown over the past year whether that be in your blog, business, or personal life! If there's something specific you'd like to see via C U R R E N T L Y Kherington in the future, share your suggestions with me in the comments too! I can't wait to continue this blogging journey with you for another year! Who knows what else I will have learned by then.
